Dark Link - Twilight Traveler.

Okay, here's my latest and greatest piece!!!

RLC PRESENTS...Bonnyjohn's take on...Dark Link!

In LoZ: TP, the Dark Link's you saw looked so lame...They were all crazy happy peoplezsz and were just different colored Links. I call this the Anti-Link...or in my rendition...The Twilight Traveler!

DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!

So yeh, I was looking for reference for Dark Link (What kind of reference do you need!?!? DARK LINK IS JUST DARKER IN COLOR OR ALL BLACK YOU FOOL!) and saw most of them looked the same. Link either all black or his clothes were black. Some were good illustrations, but to me...the design was BORING!

I decided to go ahead and create a rendition that would fit in the Twilight Realm. I'm pretty sure that Twilight denizens and the whole idea will be prevalent in future Zelda games and references, maybe not the theme for the next one but I assume it will still very much be existent, so I feel like this design isn't just a one time thing...so it wasn't a waste of my time

I loved Ganondorf's design for this one, and liked how he had a tinge of Twilight designs for his clothes, so I decided to create armor for Dark Link in a similar manner. I also made Dark Link all attack, so he will be a force to reckon with as he trades in his shield for another sword. Mind you, these swords can be fused together to make the the Dawn Master Sword. DUN DUN DUNNNN. Picture the hilt upside down opposed to the regular Master Sword and is all black with a green glow. It has twice the stopping power of the Master Sword and can also tear into the air to create openings to the Twilight Realm. Spiffy.

Okay, so what else...Oh. The glowy triforce on his back is the Negative triforce, as you can see it's upside down. The Twilight Traveler leaves no shadow behind, but he is able to create twilight dimension tears in space as he walks, so he can summon his goonies...terrifying. OHOHOHOH. Do you like how I combined my logo with a twilight fabric rip? You do? Sweet

Okay...Umm...what else....Idk. I larf this piece. OH. AND I SUCK AT BACKGROUNDS. I KNOW. I must learn how to create some decent backgrounds...Someone teach me. At least just the basics. PlZ n THX

OH WAIT. Ifound something I wanted to share about this piece. I didn't draw the line art in real life like I did my more recent pieces and scan em up...This time around I blocked in body shapes and filled in the armor, and tunic, and so forth...Pretty easy to do and was a success I think. I will stick with traditional pencil and paper process for line art though.

Hmmm..7-8 hours I think. PS Elements 5.0.
