Uchiha Sasuke - Snake to Hawk.

Okay, so here's the next remake in the line! Sasuke from Naruto: Shippuuden! Sasuke was one of my more earlier tablet faces I drew, and when I first put him up, he came out UGLAY. I then re-edited and became content with it...Even now, I don't think that one came out too bad...But it was still far from my true powers! DUN DUN DUNNNN!!!

So, a day after I did the line work for Link, I started looking up pics of Sasuke throughout the show and manga, and drew out his clothing and what not and thinking up of good poses. I tired a several billion, and decided with one where he'd be touching down...I decided to take it a bit further and add in symbolism.

In his left hand (right facing you) is the Uchiha fan crest, which tells of his pride as the last surviving member of the clan. His right hand holds his former allegiance, an article of cloth and metal he recieved for becoming a true ninja for his village...that actually betrayed him. DUN DUN DUNNNNN.

Otay. I had Sasuke mix and match several clothing he wore throughout his Shippuuden appearances that I thought looked best. I like the loin cloth and obi belt and at first, I HATED his shirt, but grew to understand it's japanese samurai badassery. I decided to put bandages on his abs because I think him baring it all (LOL) the first time you saw him is what I didn't like of the clothing lol. Oh! And also, I wanted to give him his Akatsuki jacket but nothing was working (I even had it drawn in the background in the air as if he pulled it off midflight before landing, which was a cool idea until I thought of the mondo coolio awesome background I will explain next lol.

Sooo, the background is red, which is a color we've seen Itachi engulf his victims in with his Mangekyou. In this case, I put that as the background with Sasuke's kaleidoscope Mangekyou as the sun/moon and added the akatsuki clouds (that's how incorporate the jacket ;] . Adding parchment colored foreground with some slick grass finished the bottom of the background.

As for the overall message, we have the snake which has slithered around Sasuke's body. It's been killed, as Snake has moved on from Team Hebi to Team Taka (I think...right? I think so. XP) I put in a Hawk flying in the distance (which was actually hard to draw, I zoomed in about 250 percent after researching hawks in flight) and then added a texture effect to make it look 'stamped' into the background. So yes, Sasuke is symbolically transferring his team and motives in a single leap...lol.

Drawn traditionally on computer paper with H pencil, scanned and redrawn digitally then colored with Photoshop Elements 5.0, 6-7 hours.
